What a stunning venue for a summer wedding, and one that is quite familiar to me having been a bridesmaid here twice before for my brother and best friend! Himley Hall is a 18th century grade II listed country house which was once home to the Earl of Dudley and is now the perfect setting for getting hitched with its beautifully landscaped park perfect for photo’s.
Leanne and Liam went for a classic and elegant style with a laid back feel. Liam’s team supplied the blue and white colour theme and Leanne chose beautiful lilies as her main flower. With glorious sunshine all day it flowed from the ceremony and drinks to the VERY funny yet emotional speeches (thanks to Liam and his 2 best men) to a full on PARTY!
Thank you for letting me be a small part of your big day!
If you are getting married at Himley Hall or would like to discuss another venue with me please use the contact page above to get in touch.
On 21/10/18 in an oak gazebo next to a picture perfect lake, Jenna and Paul tied the knot! To book for an outdoor wedding in mid October is brave but turned out perfectly! Right up until the wedding breakfast the weather held off and the morning even had a brilliant blue sky! Moddershall Oaks Spa, Staffordshire is a luxury spa retreat and wedding venue with amazing facilities and is a stunning wedding backdrop.
The flowers, candles, memories and details were all beautifully placed and with a acoustic guitarist playing, the ceremony was really romantic.
After relaxed, natural couples portraits round the lake and the usual drinks and speeches they threw in a game of Mr and Mrs hosted by one of the bridesmaids too. Just a little bit amusing!!
With face painting and balloon animals to keep the little ones (and some big ones) quiet, the day was a huge success.
Was a pleasure to photograph your day, here’s a snippet of what was captured…
To ensure the story of your big day is captured perfectly from start to finish with all the little details in between, everything is carefully checked, re-checked and passed under my beady eye to ensure all goes smoothly.
And i’m not just talking about the equipment (although that is quite essential!) but going through the booking forms and notes from meetings with brides and grooms who want those perfect shots to remember their big day, and creating a timeline as to put myself in exactly the right place at the right time to capture all those beautiful and crazy fun moments as they unfold.
Its the real love, the real laughs, the real cries and those downright crazy dance moves that we need to remember when were old and grey showing the great grandkids that we were young hip and cool once that we don’t want to miss!
Getting to know each client a little helps me to understand what is important to each one, whether that be the decor details they’ve spent days on or someones relatives who they don’t get to see too often, jewellery that been passed down or just wanting me to document each moment informally in the background as they are a little camera shy the list is endless but each thing is equally important to each person.
You need to be confident that your photographer knows you well enough to give you what you want from your photos and that includes giving them all the big and small details alike to ensure nothing is missed.
All that said none of that can be done without the right gear, and lots of it! I need to be ready for every eventuality which requires a lot of carriage, but essential with the British weather and dark churches to contend with! Spending hours charging and checking all equipment in the days before making sure all is battle ready for the big day ahead… I seriously need to invest in a trolley for the sake of my back as this isn’t all i lug around ha!
To all those just engaged, happy wedding planning, enjoy every minute it’ll be over in a flash….
So on sunday 5th august i had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couples wedding! The venue Park House Hotel Shifnal was beautiful, a mixture of buildings joined together to form the stunning venue you see now, with its maze of rooms upstairs and wonderfully kept gardens there were endless photo opportunities throughout!
With the blazing sunshine and heat to contend with the wedding party and guests took it all in their stride to celebrate Michelle and Chads big day, enjoying letting off confetti canons before and after the confetti shots (so funny), helping a certain little man track dragons, and scrambling over the bouquet at the end of the evening to name a few but the love between michelle and chad says it all and it shows through in there images wonderfully.
Thank you for fully welcoming me into the family to capture one of life’s biggest events for you guys!
Heres a snippet of Michelle and Chads big day for you to enjoy…
